This website uses cookies and similar technologies (collectively “tools”) provided either by us or by third parties.

Change Cookie Settings

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your device. Comparable technologies are in particular web storage (local / session storage), fingerprints, tags or pixels. Most browsers are set by default to accept cookies and similar technologies. However, you can usually adjust your browser settings so that these tools are rejected or only stored with your prior consent. If you refuse these tools, you may not be able to use all of our services without problems.

In the following, the tools we use are listed, whereby we inform you in particular about the providers of the tools, the storage period of the tools and the transfer of data to third parties. We also explain in which cases we obtain your voluntary consent to use the tools and how you can revoke this consent.

1 Legal basis and revocation

1.1 Legal basis

We use tools that are necessary for the operation of the website on the basis of our legitimate interest in enabling you to use our website more conveniently and individually and to make use of it as time-saving as possible. In certain cases, these tools may also be necessary for the performance of a contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures. In these cases, access to and storage of information in the terminal device is absolutely necessary and is carried out in the EU on the basis of the implementation laws of the ePrivacy Directive of the EU member states.

We use all other tools, especially those for marketing purposes, on the basis of your consent. In these cases, access to and storage of information in the end device is subject to consent and is carried out in the EU on the basis of the implementation laws of the ePrivacy Directive of the EU member states.

If personal data is transferred to third countries, we refer you to our privacy policy, also with regard to the risks this may entail. If you have given your consent to use certain tools, we will (also) transfer the data processed when using the tools to third countries on the basis of this consent.

1.2 Obtaining your consent

Our website uses Real Cookie Banner to collect and manage consent and any revocations. When you make a decision in the consent banner, a cookie is set that records your consent or refusal. We use this technically necessary cookie on the basis of our legitimate interest in documenting your consent. Access to and storage of information in the end device is absolutely necessary in these cases and is carried out in the EU on the basis of the implementation laws of the ePrivacy Directive of the EU member states. If you delete your cookies, we will ask you for your consent again when you access the website at a later date.

1.3 Withdrawing your consent or changing your selection

You can revoke your consent for certain or all tools at any time. To do so, please go to the settings in our cookie banner. There you can also change the selection of tools you wish to consent to as well as find additional information on the cookies and the respective storage period. Alternatively, you can assert your revocation for certain tools directly with the provider.

Cookies are used to test whether cookies can be set, to store reference to documented consent, to store which services from which service groups the visitor has consented to, and, if consent is obtained under the Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF), to store consent in TCF partners, purposes, special purposes, features and special features. As part of the obligation to disclose according to GDPR, the collected consent is fully documented. This includes, in addition to the services and service groups to which the visitor has consented, and if consent is obtained according to the TCF standard, to which TCF partners, purposes and features the visitor has consented, all cookie banner settings at the time of consent as well as the technical circumstances (e.g. size of the displayed area at the time of consent) and the user interactions (e.g. clicking on buttons) that led to consent.

This tool uses the following cookies:

Furthermore, the cookie stores which services from which service groups the visitor consented to.

3.7 Google Ads

Our website uses Google Ads, which is provided by a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google Ads”). Google Ads enables us to display ads in the Google search engine or on third-party websites, if the user enters certain search terms into Google (keyword targeting). It is also possible to place targeted ads based on the user data Google has in its possession (e.g., location data and interests; target group targeting). As the website operator, we can analyze these data quantitatively, for instance by analyzing which search terms resulted in the display of our ads and how many ads led to respective clicks.

It furthermore allows us to assign people who interact with our online offering to specific target groups in order to subsequently display interest-based advertising to them in the Google advertising network (remarketing or retargeting). Moreover, it is possible to link the advertising target groups generated with Google Ads Remarketing to device encompassing functions of Google. This makes it possible to display interest-based customized advertising messages, depending on your prior usage and browsing patterns on a device (e.g., cell phone) in a manner tailored to you as well as on any of your devices (e.g., tablet or PC).

If you have a Google account, you have the option to object to personalized advertising under the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

Lastly, with Google Ads and the tool Google Conversion Tracking, we are in a position to recognize whether the user has completed certain actions. For instance, we can analyze the how frequently which buttons on our website have been clicked and which products are reviewed or purchased with particular frequency. The purpose of this information is to compile conversion statistics. We learn how many users have clicked on our ads and which actions they have completed. We do not receive any information that would allow us to personally identify the users. Google as such uses cookies or comparable recognition technologies for identification purposes.
