Accessibility Statement
Date: May 24, 2025
This statement applies to the Certifaction website at certifaction.com, including all subdomains and all language and country versions (e.g., .io, .de, .ch, .com/en), insofar as they are operated by Certifaction AG, as well as to the Certifaction software, including customized white-label platforms.
This website is partially accessible in accordance with Section 3 of the German Ordinance on Accessible Information Technology (BITV 2.0).
This statement is based on a self-assessment, supported by digital tools for evaluating accessibility. We are currently migrating the website to a new platform in order to meet the requirements of the German Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG).
1. Non-accessible content
The following content is currently not fully accessible:
- Heading structure: Headings exist, but their hierarchy does not always reflect logical content structure.
- Reading order: The order of elements in the source code is not always logical. This will be addressed on newly created pages.
- Animated content: Not all animations stop after 5 seconds or can be paused manually.
- Alternative texts for images: Some graphics do not include appropriate alternative text.
- Video subtitles: Some existing videos lack subtitles. New videos will include them promptly.
- Alternatives for audio and silent videos: Some media files do not provide textual alternatives.
- Recorded videos with audio: Subtitles are not always provided for spoken content. New videos will include subtitles.
- PDF files: Many older PDF documents are not accessible. New PDFs will be made accessible where feasible.
- Color-dependent content: Information conveyed solely by color is not always supported by additional visual cues.
- Text contrast: The minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 is not met on all pages.
- Adjustable text spacing: Custom spacing may cause layout issues such as cut-off text.
- Keyboard accessibility and focus: Not all interactive elements are operable via keyboard or have a visible focus. New components are developed with accessibility in mind.
